Roger A. Schneider

Roger A. Schneider, 76, of Vincennes, IN passed away June 28, 2023. He was born in Sheboygan, WI on January 12, 1947, to the late Lester and Josephine (Kelbel) Schneider. Roger was a graduate of New Holstein High School in 1965. He furthered his education at the University of Wisconsin, where he received his Bachelor’s Degree and University of North Carolina, where he received his Master’s Degree.
Roger was a proud business owner for 30 years of his physical therapy practice RA Schneider and Associates. He continued his career at Vincennes University, where he started the Physical Therapy Assistant program in 1972. He sat as the chair of the department for 30 years before retiring.
Roger has several memberships he was a part of such as Sacred Heart Catholic Church, American Physical Therapy Association, Old man table at Cutter’s, and Commission on Accreditation of Physical Therapy Education.
In his free time, Roger enjoyed reading medical journals, flipping houses with his wife, playing racquetball, watching the Green Bay Packers, spending time with his family, and playing golf. He loved Fox Ridge Golf Course and was recognized in the local paper for getting 2 holes in 1s in the same week.
Roger was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Roy and Larry Schneider; sister Laurie Merchant; and brother-in-law Oscar Konen.
He is survived by his wife, of 55 years, Judi Schneider; sons Matthew (Kelli) Schneider and Michael (Miranda) Schneider; grandchildren Kaitlyn Schneider, Hannah Schneider, Hadley Schneider, Paxton Smith, Luke Schneider, Karly Schneider; sisters Bev (Bill) Biederwolf, Barb (Dennis) Forstner, Cathy (Fred) Ruebl; brothers Tom (Karen) Schneider, Ron (Sandie) Schneider; brother-in-law Joe Merchant; sister-in-law Tammy Schneider; and several nieces and nephews.
Goodwin-Sievers is honored and entrusted with the care of Mr. Schneider. There will be no services at this time.
