New Details Emerge in Vincennes Murder Case: Father Arrested for Daughter’s Fatal Stabbing

New details have emerged regarding a murder investigation that unfolded on Saturday at a residence on Audubon Drive in Vincennes. Authorities discovered the lifeless body of 30-year-old Sterline Antoine Joseph in the driveway with multiple stab wounds. The suspect, identified as 63-year-old Fritzner Antoine, Joseph’s live-in father, was apprehended and charged with her murder. Court documents revealed that officers observed Antoine with blood on his shirt as he attempted to retrieve a knife brought to the driveway by two young children. According to the children’s account, the knife had been used to fatally harm their mother. During questioning, he admitted feeling humiliated by his daughter’s actions and her repeated abandonment of her children in his care. According to the documents, Antoine grabbed a gold table knife from near the sink with the intention of reprimanding his daughter for her disrespect. He claimed to have stabbed her in various parts of her body, motivated by her disrespectful behavior. Antoine admitted to committing the act, stating that she provoked him. Currently held at the Knox County Jail, Antoine is facing a murder charge in connection with the tragic incident.
