Mary Lou Swartzentruber, 92, of Loogootee, Indiana passed away on Saturday, June 10, 2023 at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center.
She was born December 4, 1930 in Montgomery, Indiana to the late Jacob and Lucy (Stoll) Miller.
Mary Lou married Henry “Hank” Swartzentruber in 1948 and he preceded her in death on November 14, 2014.
She was a charter member of the Bethel Mennonite Church.
Mary Lou was preceded in death by her husband, Henry “Hank” Swartzentruber; grandchildren, Ryan Swartzentruber and Alta Viola Swartzentruber; siblings, Henry (Esther) Miller, Dave (Corine) Miller, Martin (Wilma) Miller and Donnie Miller; brothers-in-law, Roy Stoll and John Swartzentruber.
She is survived by four sons, Dean (Karen) Swartzentruber, Gary (Karen Sue) Swartzentruber, Steve (Katherine) Swartzentruber, Doug Swartzentruber, all of Loogootee, Indiana; one daughter, Donna (Phil) Hawkins of Loogootee, Indiana; sisters, Rosanne Stoll, Lydia Swartzentruber, and Lena (Amos) Swartzentruber; grandchildren, Dena (Tim) Lengacher, Mike (Teresa) Swartzentruber, Brian (Michelle) Swartzentruber, Mark (Myra) Swartzentruber, Scott Swartzentruber, Stacey (Todd) Humerickhouse and Joshua (Tami Jo) Hawkins, and Jordan (Brooke) Hawkins; great-grandchildren, Justin, Tyler, Megan, David, Conner, Libby, Adam, Abby, Ally, Henry, Hattie, Lydia, Ayla, Brodan, Eva, Amelia, Elias, Wyatt (Savannah), Madisyn and Lindsey; sister-in-law, Barbara Miller and Esther Swartzentruber.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 12, 2023 at Bethel Mennonite Church in Odon, Indiana. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be held Sunday, June 11, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Bethel Mennonite Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Bethel Mennonite Church.
