Loogootee has new coaches for high school Volleyball
Varsity Coach is Haley Cummins a 2012 Barr-Reeve graduate and playe her college volleyball at Oakland City University, She was the head varsity volleyball coach at Heritage Hills for 1 season, assistant at Kentucky Wesleyan for 1 season. Cummins will be joined by new JV Coach Mya Hedrick who is a 2017 Loogootee High School graduate & alumni of the program She has coached the Lion 8th grade 1 season, & coached our Jr High club team this past season.
The Washington Football Booster club is hosting it’s annual fundraiser Friday June 9th 4-9 at the Chamber Restaurant. All tips will go to the Hatchet Football program and is an opportunity to meet the 2023 team. There will be chances to win an ultimate fan package.

Baseball Semi State is Saturday Barr Reeve Vikings play Greenwood Christian at 2 oclock. Shakamak and Rising Sun tangle in the 11am game. Single session $12 all day ticket 420 cash only at the gate. No Personal Coolers are allowed inside Ruxer Field.
There is no room for folding chairs or lawn chairs within the confines of Ruxer Field. No Pets are allowed on the premises during tournament action. Whether at the game or if you can’t attend listen to Mike DeCoursey and Coach Josh Thompson describe the action on the General 95.9 or 101.3
The Reds have a dramatic 2 run walk off homer by outfielder Will Benson to beat the Dodgers 8-6. It was Benson’s first homer of the year. Reds also got a mammoth 450 foot blast by their new call up Elly De La Cruz for his first career long knock.

1980 Baseball regional semifinal North Daviess loses to Rivet 3-2. Ronnie Boyd had a 2 run double for the Cougs.
1984 Dave Omer is hired to be the Barr-Reeve boys basketball coach and athletic director taking over for Joe Todrank.
1992 Washington Catholic’s Brian Wichman is the medalist in the golf sectional shooting a 1 under 69.
1996 Jasper defeats the Hatchets in the semifinal of the baseball regional. Aaron Armes homered for Washington in the loss.
2000 TJ Mcatee goes 2 for 3 and drove in two runs as Loogootee beat Shoals in the baseball sectional.
