Help Needed: Fundraising Drive to Repair Damaged Roof at Monroe City’s Blue Jean Center

The Blue Jean Center in Monroe City, Indiana, is in need of funds to replace a section of its roof damaged during a spring rainstorm. The non-profit organization has been actively fundraising since April and has received generous donations totaling nearly $26,000 as of Thursday night. However, approximately $10,000 is still required to proceed with the roof replacement. Originally built in 1910 as Monroe City High School, the building later served as the South Knox School District’s elementary school for about 30 years. In 1999, it was transformed into the Blue Jean Community Center, which now hosts various events for the town and operates a food drive and thrift store to support the local community. If you wish to contribute, you can send cash or a check to the Blue Jeans Community Center at PO Box 128, Monroe City. For further information, you can reach out to the Blue Jeans Community Center through its Facebook page.
