Pace Community Action Agency has announced the 2023 Judith K. Bobe Scholarship winners. Kenzlye Jeffers from North Daviess and Stephanie Montoya-Meza from Washington Catholic High School have been selected. Both recipients expressed interest in pursuing nursing careers. They each submitted an essay detailing how the Head Start program influenced their academic performance and school readiness. Each student will receive a $500 scholarship to support their educational journey. The scholarship, named after Pace’s former Head Start Director, Judith K. Bobe, has been awarded annually since 2010 to high school seniors who were previously part of the Head Start program. Former Head Start students in Daviess, Greene, Knox, and Sullivan counties are encouraged to apply for next year’s scholarships.
