Vincennes Community School Board Accepts Bill Mandating Public Disclosure of Student Capacity

The Vincennes Community School Board has accepted Indiana House Bill 1381. The bill, which will become effective in July, mandates that schools publicly disclose the number of students each building can accommodate or is willing to accept. Knox County Schools Superintendent Greg Parsley acknowledges that VCSC has a longstanding history of accepting all Knox County students. The maximum student capacity for each building is as follows: 1200 for Lincoln, 801 for Clark, and 810 for Franklin, Tecumseh, and Vigo. Riley has a capacity of 300 students. Parsley shared that the current daily attendance is 2,775.
