Robert E. Chanley Sr.

Robert E. Chanley, Sr., 70, passed away on February 25, 2023. Robert was born on May 7, 1952, in Vincennes and is the son of Joseph and Clara Elizabeth (Bauer) Chanley.

Bobby was a retired truck driver and a member of the United Pentecostal Tabernacle Church. He enjoyed having coffee with his high school classmates and brothers every morning. Bobby also collected old guns and coins and was very giving and generous. He donated every year to the Tupelo Childrens Organization. Most importantly though, he loved his family and grandchildren.

Survivors include his children, Elizabeth Ann Chanley of St. Francisville, IL, Robert E. Chanley, Jr. of Vincennes, Jennifer L. Winburn and her husband Jay of Vincennes; his siblings, William Chanley, Raymond Chanley, David “Duke” Chanley and his wife Catherine, Kenneth Chanley, Howard Chanley, Linda Hacker and her husband Steve, all of Vincennes, Larry Chanley of Tennessee; his grandchildren, Anna Marie Chanley, William Quinton and his wife Alexa, Brayton Chanley, Reily Slayton, Robert Chanley III, Colton Chanley, Ian Quinton, Joseph Chanley; and his great grandchildren, Oplynn, August and Lucas Chanley. Bobby is preceded in death by his parents, Jospeh and Clara Elizabeth Chanley, sister Rita Hartzburg and brother James Chanley.

Friends may visit with Bobby’s family from 4-7 pm on Friday, March 3, 2023, at Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home, 524 Broadway, Vincennes, IN.
