Memorial Hospital and Health Care Campus in Jasper announced yesterday that they have signed a Letter of Intent to affiliate with Deaconess Health Systems. Board President Jim Huebner announced the partnership would allow the hospital to maintain its culture as a Catholic organization with faith-based care serving the needs of Jasper and Dubois counties and the surrounding communities. With the signing of the LOI, work will now begin on a definitive agreement pending approval from the Catholic Church. Kyle Bennett, president and CEO of Memorial Hospital, says the decision was the right choice for the future and ensures the hospital will maintain quality care for all.
