Washington 8th grade Lady Hatchets traveled to Southridge Thursday night to play Southridge in the 2nd round of the PAC tournament. Lady Hatchets never trailed in the contest and won 33-9. Washington 8th grade girls move on to the semifinals on Saturday Morning at Heritage Hills. First game starts at 10:00am and if they win that game, championship game to follow at 11:30am.
 
Thursday night the Barr-Reeve 8th boys traveled to North Knox, and won 41-30. The Vikings were led in scoring by Kierson Lengacher with 18 points and Paxton Traylor. The Vikings are off till Monday, when they play Shoals at home in the opening round of the Blue Chip Conference Tournament. In the 7th grade game BR wins 47-17 to finish their season at 21-0.

It’s Homecoming at the Hatchet House as Washington faces Tecumseh. Tip-off at 8pm on Memories 107.9fm. Remember donations will be collected tonight for the Hagen Knepp Family for medical expenses during the JV and Varsity games.

Former Colts Head Coach Frank Reich, the starting quarterback for the first game in Carolina Panthers history in 1995, is now the team’s sixth head coach.
Reich agreed to a four-year deal that is expected to be finalized by Monday. He was 40-33-1 during four-plus seasons in Indianapolis including 1-2 in the postseason.
