John Kenneth Miley

John Kenneth Miley, 97, of Vincennes, passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at his residence surrounded by his family.
John was born April 17, 1925 in Vincennes, Indiana to Albert (Army) and Minnie ( Hedge) Miley
John served in WW11 in the Army and was awarded two bronze stars and his family is a proud military family. John retired from Prestolite after 30 years and attended the First Church of the Nazarene in Vincennes where he served as usher and helped the treasurer. He loved to tell stories and try new things and spend time with his family. For many years he loved going to Dinky’s on Friday nights.
John married Mary Ruth Evans on August 20, 1947 and she preceded him in death on February 20, 1962. John remarried in the summer of 1966 to Rosemary (Pemberton) Miley and she preceded him in death also.
Survivors include his children Virginia Kay Kasinger, Kenneth Dale Miley and his wife Norma (Walters) Miley, Jerry Pemberton (Army) and his wife Marilyn, and Darrell Pemberton and his wife Tena; his grandchildren Jeannetta Inscore husband Steve (Air Force), Tracy Wollerman husband Randy ( Navy), Kevin Kasinger wife Marie, Trina Webb husband Gerald Sr. (Navy), Tammy Miley, Jonathan Miley wife Teri, Justin Pemberton, Ryan Pemberton wife Lauren; his great grandchildren,
Samantha Kerper husband Mike, Randall Wollerman III, Ashley Lykins husband Justin, Daniel Kasinger spouse James Beasley, Tanner Miller (National Guard) partner Savannah, Rusty Ramirez husband Sal, Sammy Webb, Samuel Webb, Kodi Gower(Navy) husband Devin (active Navy) Nathaniel Webb (Army) wife Daisy, Benjamin Webb (active Air Force) fiancé’ Angeliz, Jacob Miley wife Shyene, Addyson Douglas, Hannah, Brianna, and Chase Miley, and Clayton Malichi, Maci Pemberton, and Joel Mackey his great great grandchildren Braydon and Zachary Kerper, Ransom Wollerman, Brooklyn, Makennon, Jaiden Lykins, Hayden and Raelynn Miller, Cale, Chloe, and Cailynn Webb, Giahnnd Eris, and Nicholas Ramirez, Aubri, Adam, and Nori Webb, Zachary and Mykah Gower, Aliah and Natalia Webb, Victoria Webb, Roman, Maddie B., Mykenzi, Trinity, and Dixie Lynn Miley.
Preceding him in death were his parents, wives, his son Richard Pemberton (Air Force), and Charles Pemberton; son in-law Sherrill Kasinger (Air Force); two great grandsons Gerald Webb II (Indiana National Guard) and Jwan Webb.
Graveside services will be Friday, January 20, 2023 at Fairview Cemetery with Pastor Donnie Stamper officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Good Samaritan Hospice or the First Church of the Nazarene. Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with his arrangements.
