Pike County Deputies and EMS Save Man From Overdose

On January 2, 2023, at approximately 5:05 p.m., Pike County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to an unresponsive male who had possibly overdosed. Deputy Bryce Manning and Deputy Kane Osgatharp arrived on the scene and discovered the subject was not breathing and had no pulse. The deputies immediately began performing life-saving measures. Deputy Osgatharp administered two doses of Narcan, and Deputy Manning started CPR. Pike County EMS arrived on scene and was able to stabilize the subject. If not for the quick actions of these deputies and EMS personnel, a life would have been lost to a terrible drug. Deputies are diligently working to locate and arrest those responsible for dealing these drugs in or around Pike County. Please help us thank these two deputies and EMS personnel for an outstanding job!
