The WJHS boys 7th grade basketball team improved to 13-2 on the season with a 47-33 win over Loogootee. Kayden Gross led the way with 18 points for the Hatchets. Darian Turner had 9, Jackson Howell 8 and 4 points each from Carter Browning, Zack Frady and Jake Johnson.
The WJHS boys 8th grade basketball team (8-4) defeated Loogootee 38-34. Brody Armes led the way with 12 points followed by 10 from Drew Jones. Aiden Boyd and Caleb Bouchie each had 7 and Levi Burkemper had 2.
Both 7th and 8th grade boys return to action Thursday night at North Daviess.
In the Toyota Classic two Barr Reeve student athletes Mariah Brunson and Karsen Boyd were recognized for their efforts in athletics, academics and christian attitudes and received the Character Counts awards at last nights games.

14th annual Cub Classic Results for holiday tournament in Madison.
