Joyce Harbin Frey, 93, died at 4 p.m. on Dec. 25, 2022, at the Good
Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes. Joyce was born in Pleasantville. Her parents were Rex and Carrie (Behem) Harbin. She married Joseph James Frey on Feb. 22, 1949. Joyce graduated from Pleasantville High School and the Vincennes Business College.
She is survived by her sons, Joseph E. Frey, Alan D. Frey, John M. Frey, and Rex A. Frey (Beth Blome); grandchildren, Joseph A. Frey, Travis B. Frey, Erin (Frey) Rice, Chris A. Frey, Jason Frey, Zac Piper, Jessica L. Deckard, Alexander J. Frey, Steven N. Frey, David Frey, Michael J. Frey, Emily (Frey) Rensing, Adam M. Frey and Rachel E. Frey; and 18 great-grandchildren. She was preceded by her parents; husband, Joe Frey; one daughter, Kitty Frey Deckard; son, Mathew A. Frey; grandson, Rex Daniel Frey; sisters, Margaret Harbin and Kathleen Harbin (Orval) Ogle; and brother, Carl (Pat)
Harbin; son in law Ron Deckard, and a daughter-in-law Jan Frey. A mass of christian burial will be held at noon Thursday at St. John’s Catholic Church, 803 Main St. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of the mass.
