The 7th grade WJHS boys basketball team improved to 11-2 on the season with a 41-37 victory over the South Knox Spartans Monday night. Kayden Gross led the way with 16 points
The WJHS 8th grade boys basketball team picked up a win at South Knox 51-28 to improve to 7-3 on the season. Levi Burkemper had 24 points to led the Hatchets. Both 7th and 8th return to action Tuesday night at Vincennes Rivet
Washington Community Schools has announced that former NBA player Chris Herren will share his story with our community on January 26, 2023 at 6:00 pm in the Washington HS Auditorium. Since 2009, Chris Herren has spoken to over 1 million students and community members, to rethink how we look at the disease of addiction. Chris played college ball at Boston College and Fresno State and had two seasons in the NBA. His recovery journey has been documented in the bestselling memoir, “Basketball Junkie,” and the ESPN Films documentary, “Unguarded. ” Admission is free, but reservations are required.
