The WJHS 7th grade boys dropped a pair at Jasper on Monday night. In the “A” game the (7-2) Hatchets fell 23-32. Jackson Howell led the scoring with 14 points
In the 7th grade “B” game Jasper defeated the Hatchets 16-22. Jake Johnson led with 8 points
The WJHS 8th grade boys (5-1) dropped their first game of the season 39-42 at Jasper. Aiden Boyd had 19 points to lead the Hatchets and In the 8th grade “B” game Jasper prevailed 32-17.
The 7th and 8th grade boys are back in action on Thursday night at home against Forrest Park at 6:00. The 8th will be in the Hatchet House and the 7th with be in the Jr High Gym.
Barr-Reeve 8th Grade Boys travelled to Evansville Christian Tuesday night and won 60-35. The Vikings were led in scoring by Kierson Lengacher with 15 points while the 7th grade wins 58-26. The next game for the Vikings will be next Tuesday at home against Orleans.

The Chicago Cubs have announced they signed Cody Bellinger to a one year $17.5 million dollar contract yesterday. Bellinger chose the Cubs over the Blue Jays, Giants, and Rockies. Bellinger will fill an open spot in the outfield for the Cubbies and will become a free agent in one year alongside Ian Happ.
Mills Lane, one of the greatest referees in boxing history, died early Tuesday at a hospice near his home in Reno, Nevada.
He worked many of the biggest fights in the second half of the 20th century and officiated bouts including Muhammad Ali, Mike Tyson, Evander Holyfield, Lennox Lewis and Riddick Bowe, among many others.
