Joy E. Davis

Joy E. Davis, 78, passed away at her Washington residence in the early morning hours of December 2, 2022. She was born June 14, 1944, in Washington to Harry T. and Grace (Bannister) Wilson.
Joy was a graduate of Washington High School and was last employed at NASCO where she was a seamstress. She loved country line dancing and went dancing every Friday night. Joy was an avid Waylon Jennings fan – Waylon gave her a permanent backstage pass to all his shows. She had a large a country record collection mostly featuring her favorite singer, Waylon Jennings.
Those who now mourn Joy’s passing include her daughters: Monica (Dewey) Brown of Brownsburg, Barb Stovall of New Albany, and Crystal Wade of Jeffersonville. She was blessed with six grandchildren: Jessica Davis, Ashley Stovall, Amber Robbins, Draven Butcher, Mya Butcher and Hayden Wade; and six great-grandchildren.
During her life, Joy knew the sorrow that comes with loss with the passing of her parents, Harry and Grace Wilson as well as five brothers and three sisters.
There will be no services.
