The season ended for the 33 win Barr Reeve Lady Vikings Volleyball team on Saturday as Amber DeCoursey’s Squad lost in the Regional Semifinal at Corydon Central. The Lady Vikings lost to top ranked Providence 25-19, 25-20 and 25-17. Providence then went on to easily defeat Greensburg 25- 16,17 and 13 in the championship match. Don’t be surprised to see Providence win the 3A Title
In IHSAA sectional football on Friday night it was Pike Central defeating the Washington Hatchets by a score of 28 -7.
At a very fast Brown County Cross Country Regional, Barr Reeves Elle Knepp and Colton Stoll weren’t able to qualify for the state championships next weekend in Terre Haute. Elle ran 21:22 with a 6:52 average mile and Colton ran it in 18:03 for a 5:48 mile average. Congratulations to both on a fine season.
The Washington Golden Pride competed in state competition on Saturday at Franklin Central and came away with a 2nd place finish. Great job to the Golden Pride!
