In the IHSAA Regional at Pike Central over the weekend Barr Reeve had two runners advance to this weekend’s semi state at Brown County.  Jr Elle Knepp ran the course in 20:36 averaging just over 6 ½ per mile to finish 24th and advance as did Colton Stoll. The senior ran the course in 17:11, averaging a 5:32 mile and finishing 22nd.  This Saturday’s regional at Brown County starts at 11:30. Tickets may be purchased through the IHSAA website or Gofan.co and search Brown county High School.

And on the ticket front.  If you plan on attending the volleyball regional it will be a no cash gate so to get tickets go to the IHSAA website or go to gofan.co and search Corydon Central high and you will see the link to purchase tickets. Keegan Bradley broke a 1,498-day win drought by taking out the ZOZO CHAMPIONSHIP in Japan over the weekend, collecting a healthy $1.980 million in official earnings in the process while also picking up 500 FedExCup points to move to top spot in the point standings.  Bradley, who opened at +3300 odds, claimed his fifth PGA TOUR title with his come from behind victory, his first win since the 2018 BMW Championship. 

After a wild weekend in college football including Tennessee’s upset of Alabama the AP TOP 10 looks like this. 

Georgia stays in the top spot and Ohio State remains #2.  Tennessee goes up 3 spots to 3.

In basketball preaseason rankings.  North Carolina is ranked #1.  Teams of note.  Kentucky is ranked 4th , IU is 13th, and Illinois is preseason #23

NBA regular season kicks off tonight with 2 games on TNT.  In the Eastern Conference opener the 76ers travel to the Celtics at 7:30 and the defending champion Warriors open up at home Vs the Lakers at 10.  Your Indiana Pacers open up  as a 2.5 point underdog on the road in Washington to face the Wizards tomorrow night.  

Speaking of TNT.   Despite rumblings that he could move on to a different network or retire at the age of 60, Charles Barkley has reaffirmed his commitment to Warner Bros. Discovery Sports with a new, 10-year contract.In addition to Barkley, each member of the “Inside the NBA” crew also signed long-term deals, meaning Ernie Johnson, Shaquille O’Neal and Kenny Smith will continue to work together on the NBA’s award-winning studio show.
