The NFL made a decision that many have said is a long time coming. The league is replacing the Pro Bowl with weeklong skills competitions and a flag football game, the league announced Monday.The new event will replace the full-contact showcase started in 1951. It will be renamed “The Pro Bowl Games” and will feature AFC and NFC players showcasing their football and non-football skills in challenges over several days. The 2023 Games will be held in Las Vegas, and the flag football game at Allegiant Stadium is Feb. 5.
The Miami Marlins will be looking for a new manager this offseason. The team announced on Sunday that manager Don Mattingly will move on at the end of the current season. Mattingly, 61, has managed the Marlins since 2016, and is the longest tenured manager in franchise history. The Marlins did make it to the playoffs once, during the 2020 pandemic shortened season.
After week 4 in college football there is some movement in the top 10 rankings. Most notably Ohio State leapfrogging Alabama to take the #2 spot while Georgia remains the top dog. The rest of the top 10:

Seven-time NASCAR champion Jimmie Johnson is retiring from full-time racing and will turn his focus toward spending time with family. He figures his future schedule will include no more than 10 bucket list events, but the 47-year-old had no idea Monday what that schedule will look like.
