Larry Shots, a community paramedic with Daviess Community Hospital’s Mobile Integrated Health (MIH) program, is set to speak at the 2024 Mobile Integrated Health Fall Summit in Las Vegas on September 9-10. The summit gathers MIH and Community Paramedicine teams from across the U.S. to discuss topics such as industry standards, best practices, and legislation. Shots will present on Monday, September 9, from 9:45 to 10:30 a.m. PT, at the Las Vegas Convention Center. His session, “Documentation of the MIH Clinician,” will cover the importance of accurate documentation in meeting CMS requirements and enhancing patient care. Shots has been a crucial part of Daviess Community Hospital’s MIH program, which aims to improve access to basic healthcare services while reducing unnecessary hospital admissions and non-emergent 911 calls.
