A new solar farm in Pike County is marking its official launch.
Arevon Energy is hosting a ceremonial groundbreaking for their RATTS 1 project, a 191-megawatt facility that has already seen significant progress in recent months.
Once completed, RATTS 1 will generate enough clean energy to power over 28,000 Indiana homes.
The project is expected to contribute over $86 million to local governments and provide substantial payments to landowners over its lifespan.
Nearly 200 workers will be employed during construction.
