Daviess County Farm Families Honored with Hoosier Homestead Awards at Indiana State Fair

At the Indiana State Fair, 103 farm families were honored with the Hoosier Homestead Award, recognizing their longstanding commitment to agriculture. Indiana State Department of Agriculture Director Don Lamb presented the awards, which celebrate farms that have been owned by the same family for over 100 consecutive years, span at least 20 acres, or generate more than $1,000 in agricultural products annually.
Among the recipients were three families from Daviess County:
David L. Brown, established in 1896, Centennial Award
Joseph L. Disser, established in 1919, Centennial Award
Fuhrman family, established in 1918, Centennial Award
Congratulations to these families for their dedication and hard work in building a better future for the next generation.
