On August 11, at around 3:01 p.m., emergency services were dispatched to the intersection of N 500 E and E State Road 58 in Elnora, following a report of a serious vehicle accident. The driver of a white Jeep Wrangler was ejected from the vehicle after it struck a pole. Responding officers, along with fire and medical units, arrived at the scene at approximately 3:21 p.m. The injured driver was found on the ground, unable to feel his legs, and struggling to move his head. He was airlifted to Daviess Community Hospital for treatment. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
