A dump truck hit a power line on South 200 West in Washington, causing a brief outage and an emergency response on July 30. The incident occurred at approximately 12:12 p.m., and units from the Washington City Fire Department, police, and medical services were dispatched to the scene. The driver forgot the truck bed was raised, catching the power line and pulling it down. The line crew quickly cleared the scene, ensuring no power was live on the truck. Fortunately, the driver was able to exit the vehicle safely, and no injuries were reported. The electricity lines were promptly turned off, and emergency responders left the scene by 1:01 p.m.
