Shoals Prepares for Annual Catfish Festival: Road Closures and Event Highlights

The town of Shoals is gearing up for the annual catfish festival. Intersections of Water Street and 2nd, Intersection of Main and Hwy 50, Intersections of High and Water, and Intersection of Main and 1st will be closed as of 5 p.m. today for the annual event. Please help spread the word as you enjoy this year’s celebration. Remember the Hog show this Saturday, presented by ABATE of Indiana and the Razor 94.5fm? The bike show will be in the Jay-C parking lot from noon to 7 p.m. after the parade on Saturday, with prizes awarded, music, a hog roast, an art auction, and much more.
The men’s softball tournament is scheduled for 6 p.m.; there is also kids sidewalk chalk on Main Street; and the benefit auction starts at 6:30 p.m. Tomorrow, some of the events include a pickleball tourney at 10 a.m., a catfish cooking contest at 3 p.m., a horseshoe tourney at 4:30 p.m., a battle of the bands at 5 p.m., and fireworks at 10 p.m. at the Shoals Catfish Festival.
