Postal Stamp Price to Increase by Five Cents Starting July 14th

usps
A reminder that starting July 14th, the cost of postal stamps will jump five cents to 73 cents per stamp from the current 68 cents. The U.S. Postmaster General says the increase is necessary for the postal service to become self-sufficient after at least 10 years of a defective pricing model. The postal service maintains that their current pricing is still the most affordable around the world. “Forever” stamps, which cover the cost of sending a standard letter no matter when they were purchased or at what price, have continued to see price hikes in the last few years, including the most recent in January.
