Ruby Isabelle Porter, 82, of Loogootee, Indiana passed away on Tuesday June 18, 2024, at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper, Indiana surrounded by her family.
She was born on October 15, 1942, in Paoli, Indiana to Frances Holt and Ellie Byers.
Ruby married Dennis Porter and he passed away in 2006. She was a homemaker most of her life, keeping house and raising her family. Ruby loved going for long rides. She loved flowers especially the snowballs bushes. Ruby loved the color pink. She will be deeply missed by her family.
Ruby is preceded in death by her husband Dennis Porter, her parents, Frances Holt and Ellie Byers, her brothers, Ronald Byers, and Raymond Byers.
She is survived by her children, Carl (Deanna) Porter, Cindy (Tom) McBeth, Dennis (Glenda) Porter, Shane (Laura) Porter, several grandchildren, great- grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A visitation will be held on Saturday June 22, 2024, from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Blake Funeral Homes with Pastor Jim Lilly to lead the family in prayer at 11:00 AM. A private burial will follow.
