The Washington Police Department is investigating a robbery that resulted in a non-fatal shooting of a juvenile. Several juveniles and one adult, 18-year-old Edgar Pedraza, were arrested following the investigation by a WPD detective. The investigation is ongoing, and further arrests are expected. The WPD extends gratitude to all shifts, participating citizens, and businesses that provided video footage. Assisting in the investigation were the WPD ERT, WPD Crime Scene Investigator, Daviess County Sheriff’s Office (including SRU), Knox County Sheriff’s Office, Indiana State Police, Dubois County Sheriff’s Office, Jasper Police Department, Knox County Juvenile Probation, Daviess County Juvenile Probation, and Daviess County Central Dispatch. All individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
