About 9:20 pm, Thursday evening, Daviess County Dispatch received a call reporting that a male had hit his mother. When they arrived at the scene, Daviess County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested 55 year old James Kelly Oberst on a charge of Domestic Battery. Oberst was transported to the Daviess County Security Center where he is being held without bail.
