The City of Loogootee is facing a lawsuit filed by the American Civil Liberties Union.
The suit, filed in U.S. District Court claims the Loogootee City Council rescinded prior approval for a PrideFest 2024 celebration, changed the application process for using city property, and has failed to vote on PrideFest’s new application.
In the lawsuit filed Thursday, the ACLU and the Patoka Valley AIDS Community Action Group, organizers of PrideFest urge the Court to enjoin the Loogootee Special Events Ordinance to allow PrideFest 2024 to occur on September 7, in the Loogootee Public Square.
