Sean Anthony Marek, 44, of Elnora, Indiana, passed from this life unexpectantly, on Wednesday, May 8, 2024 Shelbyville, Indiana. He was born on June 11, 1979 in Millington, Tennessee to Brian Elroy Albert and Patricia Ann (Squires) Marek. Sean married his loving wife, April D. (Connor) Marek on October 22, 2007.
Sean was a US Navy Veteran and was employed with Belt Tech as a conveyor belt installer. He loved riding motorcycles, tinkering in the garage, hanging out with friends and working all the time. His style was wearing cutoffs and he was known for his bear hugs and his contagious laughter.
Family left to cherish the memory of Sean include: his wife, April Marek of Elnora; two sons, Joseph Tyler Marek of Plainville and Mathew Allen Marek of Elnora; his parents, Brain and Patricia Marek of North Carolina; siblings, Jonathan Marek, Jason Marek, Angela Fortado, David Marek, Kimberly (Matthew) Cole and Christopher Marek.
Military rites will be at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, followed immediately by a funeral service at Meng Family Funeral Home at Odon.
Family and friends may call from 12:00 Noon until the time of service at 3:00 PM on Tuesday at the funeral home.
The family requested that memorial contributions be made to Wounded Warriors. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
