Indiana’s Republican nominee for governor, U.S. Sen. Mike Braun, announced his choice for lieutenant governor before the November elections. Braun, who secured the primary with almost 40% of the votes, endorsed state Rep. Julie McGuire. McGuire, representing parts of Marion County, has served in the statehouse for two years. The GOP convention is scheduled for June 15. If chosen by the delegates, McGuire will join Braun to challenge Democratic nominee Jennifer McCormick and Libertarian Donald Rainwater in the gubernatorial race.
