On April 11, Knox County Sheriff’s deputies engaged in a pursuit resulting in the arrest of Jacob Heiden-Waterhouse on multiple charges. Around 1:30 am, deputies spotted Heiden-Waterhouse driving a red Ford pickup, entering the Chuckles parking lot in Bicknell. Upon noticing the deputy, Heiden-Waterhouse fled without stopping. Deputies attempted a traffic stop, but the driver refused and fled south on SR 67, tossing items out of the vehicle as he drove. Additional deputies joined the pursuit, which ended when the driver crashed into a concrete abutment at SR 67 and US 41 near Vincennes. Despite attempting to flee on foot, Heiden-Waterhouse was captured by responding deputies. Heiden-Waterhouse was booked into the Knox County Jail for an outstanding felony probation violation warrant, along with new charges of resisting law enforcement and possession of a controlled substance, both Level 6 felonies, and reckless driving.
