Jasper Man Arrested for Meth Lab, Faces Multiple Felony Charges

Following a tip about methamphetamine dealing and manufacturing, officers arrested Stephen A. Clapp, 38, of Jasper. A search of his residence yielded 2.8 grams of methamphetamine, 1 gram of cocaine, multiple firearms, and meth lab precursors.
Clapp faces the following charges:
Manufacturing methamphetamine, Dealing in Methamphetamine, Possession of Methamphetamine With A Firearm, Possession of a Firearm by a Serious Violent Felon, Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Chemical Reagents or Precursors With Intent to Manufacture a Controlled Substance, Maintaining a Common Nuisance, Possession of a Legend Drug, Possession of a Narcotic Drug, Marijuana Cultivation, Possession of a Schedule 4 Controlled Substance, Possession of Paraphernalia, Possession of Marijuana.
Narcotics detectives, responding to the tip, found Clapp in possession of suspected methamphetamine. A search warrant was granted, leading to the discovery of the drugs, firearms, and lab equipment. Clapp is held at the Dubois County Security Center on a $10,000 bond.
