Storm Damage Reporting System Activated in Daviess County

The Washington Mayor’s Office has received calls reporting water damage in basements and crawl spaces from the March 5th storm. The Daviess County Emergency Management Office has requested, through the Indiana Department of Homeland Security, to activate the Indiana 211 information system. This system will collect damage information from the March 5th storm that dumped over 4 inches of rain in 3–4 hours, causing flooding issues. This system will allow Daviess County Emergency Management as well as the Indiana Department of Homeland Security to see the reported damage to better determine damage estimates. This will help in determining if disaster assistance might be available. This is not an application for assistance. Only information gathering. Please call 2-1-1 to report your damage.
