Pike County Chamber of Commerce Annual Meeting Highlights Growth and Development in the Community

A large crowd gathered last night at the Petersburg Elementary School for the Pike County Chamber of Commerce and Economic Development Annual Meeting. The crowd heard updates from Jill Hynneman about the chamber.  Jill told the crowd she was excited about the new Chamber website and talked about new ribbon cuttings and exciting events from the past year. Ashley Willis, the director of economic development, told the crowd about the Southwest Indiana Mega Site located in Pike County, ready and primed for development, three approved solar projects, and the Readi One Projects for Pike County. The guest speaker for the night was Clint Swisher from the new Old Ben Aqua Park in Winslow. Swisher has plans for expansion in the coming years for the park…

Two new awards were presented last night. The Citizen of the Year was Betty Wright, and the 2024 Business of the Year was Mi Patio.
Following the meeting, Jill Hynneman told us she was very excited about the future for Pike County.
