The North Daviess Kindergarten Roundup is scheduled for Friday, March 15, 2024. Parents can call 812-636-8000, ext. 2000 or 2001, to schedule their child for the event. The roundup includes a kindergarten readiness screening, eye screening, and informational parent meeting, taking about an hour. Children must be 5 years old by August 1 to be eligible. Indiana law requires specific immunizations for school entry, including two doses of the hepatitis A vaccine, five DTaP, four polio, two doses of MMR, three doses of hepatitis B vaccine, and two doses of the Varicella vaccine, or physician-written documentation of chickenpox history.
