Kevin J. Abel, 55, of Bedford, was arrested on February 17 at 10:23 p.m. at Lakeside in Jasper. Abel was charged with Intimidation, a Level 6 felony, and Battery by Bodily Fluid on a Public Safety Official, a Level 5 felony. According to Jasper Police, officers responded to a domestic disturbance at the Lakeside location. Upon arrival, officers found Abel involved in the disturbance. After an investigation, it was determined that Abel had intimidated another resident at the home. Abel was taken to the Jasper Police Department, where he committed Battery by Bodily Fluid against a public safety official. He was then transported to the Dubois County Security Center.
