BR came into the tournament with a 7% chance to win the sectional and was the only team in the state of Indiana to avenge 3 regular season losses during the week.
 
The Washington Hatchet Wrestling squad was in regional action at Castle High School on Saturday. 2 Hatchets move on to next weeks Semi State at the Ford Center in Evansville.  At 106 lbs Brady Byrd finishes 2nd and  is now 42-1 on the season will first face Aiden Woods of Franklin Community who is 31-10.  At 144lbs Jack Whitehead also advances he’s now 34-8 and will face 31-2 Reese Courtney of Center Grove.

The 2024 NASCAR Cup Series season began this weekend when racing returned to a legendary Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, home to the University of Southern California Trojans football team and multiple Olympic Games for the Busch Light Clash exhibition race. On the final restart, Denny Hamlin stayed clear of runner-up Kyle Busch and crossed the stripe with a 0.610-second advantage, earning his fourth victory in the season-opening exhibition race.
