Man Shot in Head While Driving in Evansville

Early Sunday morning in Evansville, a man was shot in the head while behind the wheel of a car, according to city police. As of Monday, the man, whose identity remains undisclosed by authorities, was still alive but injured, according to a news release from the Evansville Police Department. Police officers discovered the victim inside a parked vehicle around 12:50 a.m. near the Lloyd Expressway and Lemcke Avenue after a passenger dialed 911. The passenger reported that someone had fired three shots at the man, with at least one hitting him in the head. Despite sustaining injuries, the victim was described as “conscious” and “alert” while receiving medical attention from paramedics early Sunday morning.
