Pike County, IN: Energy regulators have given the green signal for a stand-alone battery energy storage system, announced by AES Indiana. The project will be situated at the State Road 57 power plant, just north of Petersburg. AES Indiana’s commitments will incorporate wind, solar, and battery energy storage in the next five years. The grid-connected storage system is set to commence operations by December, providing 200 megawatts of installed capacity and 800 megawatt-hours of dispatchable energy.
