On January 24, the Washington Police Department’s 2nd shift officers conducted a traffic stop on E. Pearl St. The driver, 31-year-old Jorge Diaz Maldonado, was apprehended with suspected Crystal Methamphetamine and Paraphernalia. A Narcotics Search Warrant for Jorge’s residence on W Maple St. was obtained and executed by WPD’s Emergency Response Team. The search revealed nearly 20 grams of suspected Crystal Methamphetamine, a handgun with a removed serial number, items associated with narcotics distribution, and paraphernalia. Jorge faces charges of Dealing Methamphetamine, Possessing a Firearm with a Removed Serial Number, and Possession of Paraphernalia.
