Washington Light and Power crews were called out New Year’s morning when a phase went down on Oak Street. A large section of Washington’s south side was without power. The outage affected the WAMW studios and the station was off the air while the problem was being corrected. Line crews had power restored around 1:30 pm Monday afternoon. around noon yesterday due to the situation. Thanks to all the Power and Light employees called out on the holiday to fix the problem.
