Southwestern Indiana Counties Report Mixed Unemployment Rates

Daviess and Gibson Counties in Indiana reported the state’s lowest unemployment rate in November, both standing at 2.5%. However, this was a slight increase of four-tenths of a percent compared to the same period last year. Dubois County closely followed with a 2.6% unemployment rate, up by four-tenths of a percent from November 2022.
Martin County recorded a 3.1% unemployment rate, showing a six-tenths of a percent rise from the previous year. Pike County and Knox County both had a 3.2% jobless rate in November, marking increases of seven-tenths and six-tenths of a percent, respectively.
Sullivan County reported a 3.8% unemployment rate, which was five-tenths of a percent higher than the same month in the previous year. Greene County had a jobless rate of 3.9%, reflecting an eight-tenths of a percent increase from November 2022. The average unemployment rate across all 92 Indiana counties in November was 3.4%.
