Daviess County Emergency Management Director, Scott Myers issued the following statement this morning.
The Daviess County Commissioners have lifted the Burn Ban for Daviess County.
The Burn Ban for Daviess County will be lifted today Monday November 27th 8:00 am.
Conditions have improved with recent showers and forecasts of additional chances of rain late week have allowed the ban to be lifted. Soil conditions still remain at drought levels.
The Daviess County Fire Chiefs agree conditions have improved enough to allow the ban to be lifted. The Chiefs would like to thank the citizens of Daviess County for recent cooperation in refraining open burning. The number of fire runs dropped significantly during the time of the ban.
