Burn Ban Enforced in Knox County Due to Drought Conditions

Knox County has implemented a burn ban due to prevailing drought conditions, prohibiting open burning and requiring recreational fires to be enclosed in a ring with a minimum diameter of 23 inches and height of at least inches. This ban, effective immediately, is a response to area firefighters combating field fires in the county. Knox County joins 17 other southern Indiana counties, including Sullivan, Vigo, Clay, Greene, Daviess, Martin, Monroe, Lawrence, and Orange, in imposing burn restrictions.
