OAKLAND CITY, Ind. — A father and his little son had to be airlifted to a hospital in Kentucky and Tennessee after a house fire in Gibson County on Sunday. It happened in the early morning hours when firefighters got a call about a fire near Oakland City. They say thanks to smoke alarms in the home, most of the family was able to get out unharmed, but firefighters say the father and the toddler were both badly burned in the fire. They don’t know what started the fire, but they say it started on the second floor of the home.
