Mary Jones, 72 of Washington, passed away on Tuesday, October 31, 2023.
Mary was born in Washington,IN on March 8, 1951 to the late Virginia Ruth Stone Sturgeon and Gerald Sturgeon.
Mary enjoyed spending time with her family and was devoted to her animals. She never met a cat she didn’t like and took pleasure in caring for all the cats in her neighborhood. She also enjoyed reading, working puzzles, and scrolling facebook.
Those left to mourn the loss of Mary are; her beloved daughter, Becky Johnson (David); grandchildren, Jacob White (Katelin Campbell), Haley Johnson, Brittany Johnson; great-grandchildren,Wrenlee White, Canaan Dyal, Jayden Kemp, Jaxson Johnson, Khiya Johnson, and Bentley Johnson; a brother, Jerry Sturgeon (Angie); and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her loving companion, Al Corbin; grandchildren, Aaron Johnson, and Ashley Johnson; sons, Patrick and Ernie Jones; and siblings, Larry Sturgeon, and Terry Quackenbush.
There will be a visitation on Saturday, November 4, 2023 at Fredrick and Son-Gill Funeral Home from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. with a service following on Sunday, November 5, 2023 at 1:00 P.M.
