Imo Jeanne Williams

Imo Jeanne Williams, 92, of Vincennes, IN went to be with the Lord on October 27, 2023. She was born at home in Vincennes, IN to the late William Riley Jr. and Helen Marie (Bobe) Osborne. Imo Jeanne married the love of her life Norval Newton “Jack” Williams on November 23, 1955, who preceded her in death in 2009. Imo Jeanne attended Decker High School and was the valedictorian of the 1949 graduating class. She continued her education at Indiana State Teacher’s College (ISU), where she graduated in 1953 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Home Economics. Imo Jeanne worked for six years as a teacher before having her daughter. After having her daughter, she became a dedicated homemaker and Farm Administrator for JIS Farms.
 
Imo Jeanne was a lifelong member of Community Methodist Church, formerly Trinity United Methodist Church. She was very active in the church and was involved the United Methodist Women (UMW) group and the wedding committee. Imo Jeanne was also a member of the Red Angus Association of America and a neighborhood bereavement coordinator. In Imo Jeanne’s early married years, she and her husband were members of the Rough Riders Horseback Club.
 
Imo Jeanne was known for being a hard worker and always caring for others. She was known to bake birthday cakes for the residents at the county home, visit the elderly weekly, and faithfully send out cards for every occasion. She served over the years, as a 4-H judge in clothing and foods for several counties. Imo Jeanne also enjoyed cooking, gardening, sewing, and spending time with her family.
 
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Norval “Jack” Williams; sisters Caroll Osborne Deem and Ann (Rex) Osborne Ready; brother Riley “Sonny” Jr. (Jo Ann) Osborne.
 
Imo Jeanne is survived by her daughter Susan (David) Ziomek; granddaughters Sarah Kaitlyn Ziomek and Rachel Marie Ziomek; brother-in-law Cyrus (Jean) Deem; and many nieces and nephews.
 
Goodwin-Sievers is honored to be with the care of Mrs. Williams. Visitation will be held Thursday, November 2, 2023, from 4-8 pm at 524 Broadway St. and Friday, November 3, 2023, from 12 to service time at Community Methodist Church. A funeral service will be held Friday, November 3, 2023, at 1 pm with burial at Memorial Park immediately following.
 
Memorial donations can be made to Community Methodist Church in Imo Jeanne’s honor.
